The Manipur Cabinet approved the convening of the monsoon session of the state assembly.

 The Manipur Cabinet on Monday approved the convening of the much-anticipated monsoon session of the state assembly on August 29, four days before the expiry of the deadline to hold it. Earlier, the State Cabinet had, on August 4, recommended to the Manipur Governor for summoning the 4th session of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly on August 21.
